Step 2 - Knowing...

I've got my blog site and that is great! Thanks to Google Search as it only took me a couple of hours to go through users feedback or site reviews to decide which is the best blog site  for me. Just a disclaimer though so that I don't sound bias, there are probably a lot of good blog sites out there but for me personally, this is the best in terms of practicality (no money spent or membership fees) and ease of set up for a newbie like me. I would also like for everyone to know that I am making these steps as I go along so feel free to comment or add some suggestions if you wish.

Day 2 or step 2. We will be spending a bit of time finding out all sorts of information we need for our blog site to work and know from ourselves what do we really want to do with it.

Here are some of the items that I think are important to begin with.

1. Understand and define what is a blog and blogging.
2. Know your blog site and the tools provided for you to utilize. 
3. Know your goals. Is it to share information and help people, for profit or money, for fame or just leisure, to express the other side of yourself anonymously, a story of your life, a mix or all of what I've said, etc). Your goal is what will keep you going and give you direction on where you want to go. You may also come up with a Vision if you prefer.
4. Create your baseline. Items that go in here are the Who What Where How questions for yourself to answer and determine.
  a. What do I want to post? 
  b. Who are my targeted audience?
  c. How much time can I spare to create an article?
  d. How dedicated am I?
  e. What are the guidelines and TOC of the site hosting your blog?
  f. What is my short and long term plans?
  g. What legit sites can give you useful resources without needing to pay anything.
  h. And the list goes on... Will add as I see fit.
5. Take down notes to serve as your QRG aka Quick Reference Guide and so on. 

I will keep on adding and updating this page as I see fit.
